The frontispiece portrait of Ingres is signed as engraved by Morse. It carries the imprint of the publisher, Henri Plon, and the printer, Chatain. The text printer is named on the half-title verso: 'Paris. Typographie De Henri Plon, Imprimeur De L'Empereur, Rue Garancière, 8.' The work is dedicated to Madame Ingres, Née Ramel, and Monsieur Gatteaux. The verso of the front loose endpaper is stamped, 'Morrell Binder Frith St'.
