General Note
Engraved title leaf followed by a five-page dedication to Carlo Gaetano [Karl Kajetan von Gaisruck], Archbishop of Milan. Most engraved plates signed by L. Rupp.; plates 57-59 signed by Bramati. Plates are labelled in both Italian and French. This copy lacks the table of dimensions of the cathedral, list of artists who participated in the construction or the decoration of the cathedral and are mentioned in the work, and the alphabetical index of plates (p. 111-117). The work was also published in French in the same year. The work is sometimes attributed to the publisher, Ferdinando Artaria.
Binding Note
A black leather label in the centre of the front board is lettered in gilt letters, 'Il Duomo Di Milano'. The spine is lettered in black ink on the cloth, '5 4 3 Duomo di Milano'.
