General Note

The work consists of a dedication to John Kinross. A.R.S.A.; a list of subscribers; List of the Plates; Introduction; Descriptive Notes for the plates and collotypes followed by 68 plates of measured drawings supplemented by 72 collotype photographs. It was photo-lithographed and printed in Edinburgh by George Waterston & Sons.

Included loose at the front of the volume is a four-page leaflet, 'Architectural & Art Books Published By B. T. Batsford, 94, High Holborn, London', [1904 probably].

Provenance

This copy was a bequest of Sir Edwin Cooper R.A., October 1961.

Binding Note

The work is bound in black cloth with gold lettering and design on the front board and on the spine lettered 'English & Scottish Wrought Ironwork - Murphy'.
