“Of this book six hundred and sixty copies only have been printed and bound in Great Britain by W.S. Cowell Ltd, of Ipswich for the Cupid Press of Barham Manor, Suffolk. The text is set in 12pt Bembo; the decorative borders are Monotype versions of Elizabethan fleurons. The colour lithographs have been drawn on plastocowell film by John Piper and printed by W.S. Cowell Ltd. The Antique Laid paper was mould-made by T. H. Saunders, and the paper boards were hand-marbled by Douglas Cockerell & Son.” [Half-title recto].

Binding Note

Green cloth spine with hand-marbled boards. Top edge gilt, fore-edge and tail deckle-edged paper. Brown leather label to spine titled in gilt: `Elizabeth: Love Songs'.
