Presented by Sir Frank Short R.A. in 1924 (see 'RA Annual Report for 1924, p. 39). The title-page is inscribed in ink: 'John Pye'. With 10 autograph letters and a postcard from Field to Pye tipped in at the end of the volume, ranging in date from 7 April 1856 to 27 December 1870.
