General Note
This work comprises text and 40 plates based on the public exhibition presenting the results of German excavations at Olympia. Twenty-nine of the plates are reproduced from the five volumes of excavation reports published between 1876 and 1881, 'Die Ausgrabungen zu Olympia, 1875-1881'. The plates consist of lithographs printed by Wilhelm Greve and [C. ?] Hacker and collotypes printed by Römmler & Jonas. The text consists of a foreword, a list of plates and text by Richard Borrmann, Ernst Curtius, Friedrich Adler and Friedrich Graeber.
Binding Note
This portfolio has cream paper-covered boards quarter-bound with wine-coloured cloth lettered on the spine in gold, 'Funder Von Olympia'.
