$a Albrecht Dürer's Hierinn sind begriffen vier Bücher von menschlicher Proportion (1528) had been translated into Latin in 1532 (De symmetria partium in rectis formis humanorum corporum). In the first three books Dürer discusses methods of measuring and representing human proportion. The third book concludes with a passage on the relationship of art to God. The fourth book discusses the representation of movement and bent postures. Many of the illustrations are full-page. Most are close copies of those in the first, German edition (1528). Gallucci's additional book is not illustrated. The book also carries the printer's device on title page and colophon, a tailpiece and decorated initials. |
