The printer is named in the colophon: 'Printed By John Edward Taylor, Little Queen Street, Lincoln's Inn Fields.'

The work is dedicated by J.B. Waring to the Prince Consort.

The title given here is taken from the title-plate. A title variant appears on the title-page: 'Examples Of Stained Glass, Fresco Ornament, Marble And Enamel Inlay, And Wood Inlay.' The plates show: 1-8 Stained glass in Florence, Lucca, Arezzo; 9-16 Frescoes in Pisa, Siena, Florence; 17-21 Marquetry in Siena, Pisa, Assisi, Orvieto; 22-41 Marble and enamel inlay in Florence, Pisa, Siena, Pistoia. All are lithographs printed in colour.

Provenance

Ordered to be purchased for £6 6s. in 1859 (RA Council Minutes, XI, 310, 9 July 1859). However a copy is also recorded as having been presented by the author in 1867 (see RA Annual Report, p. 26).
