Summary Note

The plates and texts show and describe paintings by G. Bellini, Titian, Moretto, Girolamo Romanino, G. Savoldo, Tintoretto, Veronese, Bassano, Gambara, Rubens and G.C. Procaccini - almost all having Christian subjects. The plates are outline engravings.

Provenance

The verso of the front loose endpaper is inscribed in pencil, 'S.A.H.', i.e. S.A. Hart, librarian of the Royal Academy 1864-81.
