508 # # $a The cataloguer of the British Library suggests that the author, 'Satiricus Sculptor', was William Henry Ireland (1775-1835), assisted by Thomas Coram and perhaps by James Caulfield. In his dedication to James Bindley the author writes, 'An intimacy of many years standing, and the data of our births not being very far removed, prompts me to select you ...'.

The frontispiece is unsigned. It carries the publisher's imprint of 'R.S. Kirby 11 London House Yard St. Paul's' and the date (December 1 1813).

The text printer is named on the verso of the title page and in the colophon: 'J.G. Barnard, Skinner-street, London.'

The work is dedicated by the Author to James Bindley.
