The half-title is missing from the Royal Academy's copy; but the RIBA catalogue records that on its verso appears the sellers' imprint, 'Se vend à Paris Chez les Auteurs, rue du Coq-Saint-Jean, no 4; P. Didot L'Ainé, rue du Pont de Lodi, no 6; Et les principaux Libraires.'

Summary Note

The added engraved title-plate reads, 'Publié A Paris, Architecture Toscane Ou Palais, Maisons, Et Autres Édifices De La Toscane L'An MDCCCXV'. This publicaton had been appearing serially from 1806, in eighteen parts; and eighteen of the 109 numbered plates are divisional title-plates for the several parts.

The work describes chiefly buildings in Florence and Siena and their environs, but includes some structures in Arezzo, Livorno, Pistoia and Pisa.

The plates show views, plans, elevations and architectural details. All are outline drawings. Brunet states that the work was also available with hand-coloured plates.

The front pastedown is inscribed in ink, 'R.C. Hussey'.
