This publicaton had been appearing serially from 1806, in eighteen parts; and eighteen of the 109 numbered plates are divisional title-plates for the several parts. The work describes chiefly buildings in Florence and Siena and their environs, but includes some structures in Arezzo, Livorno, Pistoia and Pisa. The plates show views, plans, elevations and architectural details. All are outline drawings. Brunet states that the work was also available with hand-coloured plates. |
