This bound volume contains volumes 3 and 4 from series one of the Architectural Association sketch book, published for 1869-70 and 1870-71. Both volumes 3 and 4 are printed by Kell Brothers, Printers, Castle Street, Holborn, London. Vol. 3 contains lithographed title-page, list of plates and 69 plates; vol. 4, lithographed title-page, list of plates and 72 plates; the bound volume closes with Architectural Association Sketch Book Analytical Index Vols I.-IV. (paginated [1]-3).

The title-page to vol. 3 is inscribed in pencil 'R. Phené Spiers'.
Binding Note
The volume is quarter-bound in brown leather with a red leather spine label inscribed in gilt, 'Architectural Association Sketch Book', then below on the brown leather, '1869-70.'
