A note printed on the half-title verso gives the print-run: 'Edizione di 100 esemplari numerati. N ...'. Giambattista Tiepolo's etchings consist of the Capricci and the Scherzi di fantasia. Those of his son Giandomenico Tiepolo consist of the Via Crucis, Idee pittoresche sopra la Fugga in Egitto and Raccolta di teste. Giandomenico's brother Lorenzo made nine prints, including the etching of Sta. Thecla freeing Este from the plague. The first plate reproduces a portrait of G.B. Tiepolo engraved by Alexan. Longhi after his own painting. |
