On the front loose endpaper are pasted two notes, inscribed in ink, (1) 'These four Volumes of the Actas of the Spanish Academy belong to the Royal Academy of London P. Hoare'; (2) 'a small Spanish Edition of the Lives' [supra, 'Diccionario'] 'of the Spanish Painters belongs also to the R. Academy P.H I think in six Vols All to be returned to the R. Academy'. The verso of the front loose endpaper is inscribed in ink, 'P. Hoare for the Royal Academy.' Prince Hoare was the Royal Academy's Secretary for Foreign Correspondence from 1799 to 1834.

Binding Note

18th-century mottled calf; gilt-decorated spine, red and black morocco spine-labels lettered 'Actas De La Academi De San Fernand · I ·'. Bound with '(Relacion De La) Distribucion De Los Premios ... Por La Real Academia ...' (1753-60).
