He asks whether Northcote has yet dined with "honest Tom". He and Prince have been studying music, but will be returning to London in a week. The Emperor of Germany [a horse] is now in Bath, having won the plate at Exter races. He was sorry to read of the execution of "poor" de la Motte and knows Northcote must have lamented this. He passes on news of his father [William Hoare], who has been riding in a phaeton. he sends compliments to Northcote's "ladies".
