Transmitting the resolution (of the committee for erecting a monument to
[William] Huskisson) to appoint Gibson as the sculptor. Earle is glad that the committee had dispensed with the requirement to produce a model of the monument.
The letter also bears one from Augustus Campbell, honorary secretary, Savings Bank, Liverpool, to Gibson, dated 24 August 1831, stating the resolution in full.
