Content Description
Dyce had been thinking of etching his design of Knox, but was not sure if Dibdin would think an artist's scratches on copper worthy of a place in the book. Dyce had, however, had a good deal of practice that way. In a postscript Dyce asks Dibdin to confirm the rarity of an edition of the Odes of Horace, published by Johan Petit in 1503, which he had picked up the other day.
