Content Description

Her letter was delivered to Honiton, rather than Hounslow. States that he is not annoyed for their giving shelter to [George] and his companion [Jane Chambers] on their "wild goose flight". Bemoans George's actions in marrying precipitately, is sure that Lord Rodney will not settle any sort of income upon them and then let's fly on George's waste of a commission which cost him 2000 guineas. He is glumly reconciled to the situation, but has no expectations that they have a happy future together.
