Content Description
Responding to the news of Aunt Mary's death. Discusses a plan to meet his parents in Paris, which is an artist's paradise. Provides an itinerary to travel to Rome. Elucidates his plans should his father not make to trip.
He asks for more money and describes the temptation of shopping for books and antiquities. Asks after his crate. He has nearly completed his marble, which has been useful and, he thinks, a success. He wants to start modelling again and is anxious about a studio in London. Responds to Tom's letter by saying his rooms are on to Campus Martius, overlooking Caesar's tomb. Describes, with amusement, the robbery of two young artist visitors to Rome, on the road to Naples. He has been suffering from tooth ache. Is glad to hear that the Sons of Liberty in Canada have "had their heads broken."
