Content Description

He is sorry to hear that Todd is in hospital. He is in the midst of receiving work for the entrance examination, which usually "drives me round the bend". The next day he teaches at Reigate School, by these means he drives up his poor R.A. pay. He thinks Todd's paintings in the exhibition marvellous, and well hung. Both Carel Weight and Charles Mahoney are in hospital. Mahoney is in difficulties, but cheerful, he has asked that his situation be kept secret. The summer exhibition is down on attendance, maybe because of the nasty remarks in the press. Peter Greenham is pleased to be back, but enjoyed America, "he flew home!"
