Content Description
He would have answered earlier but was delayed through judging the Society premium of £50 for the best handmill; he suggests the premiums that Ozias should compete for, either a human figure (from a print of an Academy figure) or "birds, beasts, fruits, flowers etc." (from nature); Humphry will have better opportunity to study should he return to London as the Duke of Richmond has opened his gallery of casts from antique statues to recommended students; the school goes well, he has obtained high quality drawings for it at great expense and his assistant Mr. Burgess, who is an excellent draughtsman; W. Pars sends his complements.
In a postscript Shipley provides more guidance over the premium.
