Had envisaged that there would be no objection from the owner of the original "Jacob & Rachel"; Mr. Pryor has declined to accede to Dyce's wish as nothing was mentioned about copyright in the transaction; after seeking legal advice he is able to paint a similar, although not replica, picture; asks for Miller's agreement; an advantage is that the new picture would be entirely in Dyce's own hand.
