Content Description

They have enjoyed games of cricket and last night went to the Hullahs' where they played charades, Mr. Hullah was very good. Tom Chevalier is much improved in appearance, he watched W.B. while he worked on his portrait. He is currently employed on a still life, which is "pre-raphaelite", Tom [K.R.] won't like it (provides a sketch). Papa, Mr. Dyce and Mr. Cockerell are engaged on the "middle class examination", with Richmond and Dyce quarrelling fiercely. He is going stay with Mr. Riviere where he will paint in oil from nature. Riviere accuses him of being a pre-raphaelite, of which he is proud.
