He is glad that Mrs Hamond is pleased with the picture and suggests a new sitting time; his dinner guests were Lord Lonsdale, Lord Stafford, Lord and Lady Mugrave, Sir George and Lady Beaumont, Sir Abraham Hume, Mr. Watson Taylor, Mr. Rogers, Mr. Payne Knight, Sir Thomas Baring, Mr. and Mrs C. Long, and finally Mr. G. Dance; Sir George was courteous and has bought a small picture by Chalon; the Duke of Wellington invited him and Lord Burghersh to the Prince's box to meet Mrs O'Neil; he will be staying at Angerstein's.
