[Incomplete] Regarding the difficulties attendant with handling arrangements for both the Emperor of Austria and the Emperor of Russia; Lord Stewart has been helping him; he gossips about the activities of Mr. D., who is "sticking" to Sir Benjamin Bloomfield's "skirts"; he describes, in detail, a sitting of the Tsar, a grand affair, crowds outside, an audience in the atelier; he describes the finished work and his opinions on it; the Duke of Wellington mentioned to him the Emperor's attitude to sitting; he has also painted Prince Hardenberg, Prince Metternich, Count Nesselrode and other ministers; he has not yet painted the King Prussia, Duc de Richelieu or Count Capo Distria. The number 1 is annotated to the body of the first page.
