Brock has been unable to complete his diploma work, a bronze bust of
Sir Frederic Leighton, because Leighton has been away on the Continent, and Brock has been unable to obtain the necessary sittings. He has therefore sent a marble bust of
John Marshall, late Professor of Anatomy at the RA, as a temporary substitute.
