He sends thanks for news of the Academy; he describes a sitting for the Arch Duchess Charles, witnessed by the Archduke and family, the picture is for the Emperor; he has succeeded with the picture of Schwarzenberg; the Persian Ambassador Abon [Abdul] Hassan is in Vienna; he has finished the painting of the Emperor and ponders sending it to the Academy exhibition; he turned down an invitation to Metternich's in order to dine with the French Ambassador where Comte Nicholas Esterhazy invited him to the theatre; offers a brief critique of Füger; he notes that the 'Don Quixote' is published and asks for Farington to get its author's brother to send him a copy.
