Content Description

"Dear Sir. I have sent after the Duke of Northumberland's frame, and if it does not come soon I will send one that I have by me and alter the size of the picture for it, that you may not wait. The pictures shall all be sent as fast as possible; you have all the frames except the Duke's, and your list is perfectly right. The two ¾ pictures are Lady Horatia Waldegrave and Lord Cornwallis. Mr Ramus's I sent yesterday." [Full text of letter].

Associated Material

Among the deposited papers is a letter from the Queen's House signed by William Ramus, dated 3 June 1783, announcing the attendance of the King at the Summer Exhibition.
