Content Description

The portrait of his son, Jack, has arrived safe and sound. He is extremely grateful and it has lift his mind from the war. He feared it wsa lost and was now decorating the "paltry cabin of a sans culotte" or "bloody mansion of a Jacobin", instead it is crediting the handsomest apartment in Jamaica.

Everybody has bcome a soldier and they parade in red. Martial music is heard through the town. The governor has gone to the scene of action in force and it is hoped that peace will resume soon. If not then he expects horrid scene, such as experienced on the windward side of the islands.
