Content Description
I has seen his suggestion in the Pall Mall Gazette, and hopes that his silence of the original proposal did not suggest disapproval. However, he feels no amount of outside pressure will move the Royal Academy. Artists must act for themselves or nothing will be done. Currently the whole thing is a lottery, gives his own treatment at the hands of the Academy over the years as an example.
