Content Description

Having injured a finger on her right hand it has been some since she was able to write. She was shocked to hear of the violent assault on Mr. Griffith and his subsequent death, she sends her best to Mrs. Griffith and Mrs. Blake[?]. Mr. Cleeve did not long survive his favourite daughter. Miss Priscsilla Goddard clings on. She is glad of Humphry's excursions to Windsor and of the improved health of the King. Wyatt must be very pleased to fill such an important position [Presidency of the Academy] by express desire of the King. She responds to various tid-bits of news in the previousletter from Humphry regarding characters in Knightsbridge. There has been a prominent farmhouse fire in their area.
