King Edward VII, Sandringham, Norfolk, to the President, Sir Edward Poynter, thanking the members of the Royal Academy for their address of condolences on the death of Queen Victoria, and expressing his own "deepest interest in the prosperity of . . . perhaps the foremost Academy of Arts in the world", 19 April 1900; and a letter from
