E.M. Barry as Treasurer in succession to
Sydney Smirke; and a letter from the President,
Sir Frederick Leighton, requesting royal approval for the decision (made at the General Assembly of 29 December 1882) to donate £100 to the excavations at Ephesus, Turkey, and confirmation of the Queen's approval, 10 August 1883.
