Content Description
Referring to the last general quarterly meeting, at which a law was proposed to secure the election of eight new Directors annually: this had been rejected by the Directors, despite the opinion of the Attorney General, and they had added "most reproachful Reflections on the Fellows of the Society." The signatories therefore request attendance at a meeting of the Fellows at Castle Tavern on Thurday next, to consider who should properly serve as Directors in the ensuing year. It was hoped that the persons chosen would "consider the general Interest of the Society."
