Content Description
In the paper, which is handwritten, Clausen says that he thinks the study carried out in the Schools is less thorough than that done under the old system, and adduces the cartoons done in the decoration competition as an example. He thinks it desirable to retain the Visitor system for advanced students only, with a separate school under the direct instruction of the Keeper. He also advocates the provision of casts of some of the newer finds of Greek and Roman, as well as Egyptian, Oriental and Medieval art.
