Content Description

Pasted to the page are three small newspaper cuttings. Firstly a brief notice of the works by Mdme. Eline Robin. Secondly very brief notice of the works of Mr. Simpson and Thomas Phillips. Thirdly very brief notice of the works of John Constable, highlighting his habit of "scattering white spots". Attached to the page is a cutting from a sales catalogue, lot 406, a letter by John Martin, dated 2 Oct 1829, concerning his plate of Nineveh and his drawing of the crucifixion.
