Content Description

He wishes to return home but business owing to him prevents it. He is worried that this will prevent his leaving before the heat returns. He has been to three of Lord Cornwallis's levees but has yet to see him in private, he appears a downright soldier and is not likely to patronise artists. Sir John Macpherson is in great disgrace. Mr George Farington sends his regards. He has a few shawls given by the Nabob, some of the more beautiful ones were spoiled by white ants at Benares.
