Content Description

His friend Daniell is visiting Exeter with his nephew, Mr. Daniell, and he hopes that [White] can attend them, knowing that he cannot but fail to be amused by their opinions of the city of Exeter.

His opinion in the matter of Humphry's case was received almost with reverence by the solicitor who has acted for him on occasion, Mr. Harman, who thinks it should be written out in letters of gold.

He has learnt that Mr. Pitt, Earl Camden and Lord Grenville once discuss Humphry's case all the way from Camden's seat, Wilderness, to the Duke of Dorset's at Knowle. This exonerates Camden from any imputations of indifference to Humphry's plight.

The appointment of Lord Minto is forunate for him, and matters discussing in Parliament may make an application to the Nabob unnecessary.
