He sends thanks for the news of the election; no-one doubts that Mr. Bakon[sic] is a "creature of Lord Bute's, he fears for Sir George Yonge but wishes him well; his horse has died; his hands are full of commissions and through his work has tried to cultivate Londoners; he has found the people of Bath charge according to what they think you can afford and expend money similarly; he has painted General Rich and Miss Otto, both of whom have been very kind, offering to set him up with a practice in London.
