Content Description

White's letter to him has been delivered through Lord Clarendon. He and Mr. Bone are both well satisfied that the portrait is accepted. The delay in sending was occasioned by the desrire to show it to the Earl and Lady Camden, also to the Duchess of Dorset & Lord Whitworth; all to promote the skills of Mr. Bone.

The Duke of Bedford's statue is now in Russell Square, to admirable effect. He would like an etching of Jackson's portrait by Gainsborough. Drury Lane Theatre advances rapidly and he hopes to secure a plan of it to be sent to Devonshire.
