Report of the meeting of the Visitors in the
Architectural School on Mar.26.1908
Acting on the permission given by the Council the
visitors decided that the notice limiting the
competition for the £25 prize to one particular
subject be withdrawn.
It was recommended that students should only be
allowed to work in the School on drawings after
the completion of the course by special leave of
the Visitor of the time being.
The visitors would again call attention to the
desirability of collaboration between the Sculpture
and architect students.
The visitors propose to set a subject for the class
of modelling in architecture in the hope that
this may attract students.
They would wish to engage a competent
sculptor familiar with architectural ornaments
to lecture in this school with demonstrations.
For this purpose they would propose that
part of the 50£ grant be used_
They would like also to be allowed to draw
on this fund for procuring a collection of
architectural photographs which is much
needed for immediate reference.
