Minutes of a meeting convened by R. A. Walker, and chaired by Sir William Llewellyn, PRA. M. Fisher, RA, W. W. Russell, RA and T. Williams, RA were among those present. The meeting voted against the proposal to preserve the house, and a decision was taken to appoint a small committee to consider a public appeal for a memorial tablet either at St Paul's or the Royal Academy, with any balance remaining from the proceeds of the appeal to be applied to the award of a John Constable prize to students.
