Content Description
She has not received two of his letters. She had invited Mrs. K. to dine on the anniversary of their leave-taking and by coincidence his letter arrived. She is glad to hear of his successes in full length miniatures, a format in which he is unrivalled. Her Uncle wishes him well. She raises the tragic death of Captain Pierce.
Cipriani has also died. Lord Lansdowne has written an "elegiac epistle" to Bartolozzi. She and her Uncle recently went to Mr. Baker's where Mr. & Mrs. West and Mr. & Mrs. Poggi were guests. Mr. Webber has promised her his diploma, so it can join her collection of Bartolozzis.
Next week the Revd. Mr. Wheler and widowed Mrs. Wheler will join them. Mrs Wheler has been very kind.
[Verso] Humphry has copied a letter of recommendation from Signora Baccelli, 5 Nov 1785, written in French.
