Content Description

Now that the Carnival is over she has time to write; dismisses the possibility of her studying in Rome, mentioning Mr. Edwards, she is not alone however as Mr. Dean is a great source of amusement; provides a picturesque description of the Duomo, covered in snow, and the countryside; she has not finished the portrait of her sisters; Zoffany has begun a portrait of the Principessa Cristina, sister of the Grand Duke, and has almost finished portraits of the General and Prince Orloff; a German painter is making a copy of Titian's, so bad it would make Titian turn in his grave; Mr. Houlston has been declined permission to copy the same picture; Mr. Dean has finished on picture for Lord Cowper and is beginning another, she is to do two copies; news of friends; regards to Mr. Edwards and Mr. Tracham.
