Acknowledging the recipient's letter and the photograph that accompanied it. He is rather sorry that such an early and defective picture such as Stella should have been shown to the public. But if, as avowed, his name helped the exhibition then fine. In response to the question of collectors in Gloucestershire, he cannot help. He very seldom follows the fate of his pictures as he is always glad to see the last of them. Most of his pictures are sold by dealers and he never enquires who the buyers may be.
