Content Description

Officially resigning their directorships: they had originally resolved to retain them, but finding that the current direction were bent on measures that they felt were repugnant to the charter and tended toward the destruction of the Society, they judged it no longer safe to keep them, to avoid blame for the consequences of those measures. They see that they are powerless to prevent the plan that is to be pursued. They do not , however, object to Kirby and certain other Directors, for whom they have the highest esteem.
