Content Description

Apologising for being unable to accept the President's invitation, because he had to avoid London during the winter months, and asking him to recommend some young landscape painter, "who has a feeling for beauty, and at the same time a scrupulous faithfulness in recording what is before him", to make drawings of some of the places Masefield had greatly loved, which could then be reproduced in colour, with some account by himself.
