Content Description

Copy letter thanking her for seeing him off following a visit. He compliments her mother, Lady Braye, whom he declares to be "too strong minded for the priests". This leads Gibson into various strictures concerning the Roman Catholic faith, and the use of relics. Gibson says that he had resisted embracing Catholicism despite his 36 years residence in the Holy City.
