He has found an early painting by himself at a sale, titled At Okehampton's Door. He has done nothing satisfactory all summer, save for a small piece for the Academy. He has been working hard in winter to be able to take advantage of the brighter weather when it comes. He has begun to plan his summer trips.
Anderdon annotates on the mount that the artist visited him, sketched his house, and then spoilt the sketch when working it up.
